Health and safety is a key part of the Geotech business and culture. We are committed to providing fit-for-purpose health and safety systems that meet legislative obligations, protect our people, and are pragmatic enough to work in the environments and locations where we operate.
Being a mobile company, we are experienced at adapting our operations and systems to align with on-site client requirements. We are equally adept at operating our systems in remote locations, even sites where there is poor communications/connectivity and limited access to resources.
Our health and safety systems are industry tested. We have operated our systems successfully on quarries, mines and project sites around New Zealand. The mining and quarrying environment is challenging, dynamic and increasingly complex to manage. We have invested in high-level industry training, and we have a large number of staff who hold Mine, Quarry and Tunnel Managers Certificates of Competency (CoCs), assessed and accredited through the new system overseen by WorkSafe.
Our staff have a mixture of formal health and safety qualifications and extensive field experience, and our management and supervisory team bring a mature, established safety culture to our projects.
